'I remember the stars at night' is a story about memories with friends on a festive day. The night sky was so beautiful in Bad Ems, Germany. I turned my head towards the sky for a long time and looked at the stars in silence, thinking about the many layers of relationships and life that are invisible but still working.
I turned over my usual collection of egg cartons and suddenly they looked like stars. After weaving them together and stacking them like a tower, I created the piece using old objects from the region that I had purchased at a local antique store. The shape of the pottery reminded me of Margot, the goddess of creation in Korean mythology, and when combined with the Tower of Stars, another story was created.

In the tower, there is a small trinket hanging from a single thread, a small and fragile object I picked up on a walk. I put them together to memorialize my memories and create an open-ended narrative.

'Scene' is a series of coincidental events and relationships created by the passing of seemingly unrelated people in everyday life. The optical properties of photography compress the depth of objects and relationships into a single plane, making them appear to be intertwined when in reality they may be unrelated. A person's life is made up of many invisible connections. I tried to create a cinematic narrative of anonymous people through an everyday scene at a festival in the city.

'Greeting' began with a single flower given to me by the administrator on the day I arrived at the Balmoral Residency. In my room, 30 years of Balmoral artists' work is archived in books, which seemed like a tomb to me. I realized that when I leave here, my work will also be bound into a book, buried like that, and become history. I thought about the use, immateriality, and expiration date of art. I created an installation that combines all the receipts I have collected in my life and some objects.
