Jungho Jung
Jungho Jung explores how the placeness of specific regions connects to people’s beliefs through myths and hidden narratives, and how these relationships operate within contemporary scenes, using photography and video. Recently, through interests in anthropology and folklore, his work has focused on the relationship between goddesses appearing in Korean mythology and sites of spiritual significance, as well as geomancy and shamanism.

His major solo exhibitions include Sacred Site (Boan Art Space, Seoul, 2025), Topography of Belief (Seoul Art Sapce of Geumcheon, Seoul, 2024), and Buddha and Magohalmi (Cheongju Art Studio, Cheongju, 2022). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions in Korea and abroad, including Objects in Oscillation (Kukje Gallery, Seoul, 2026), Come Back Home (Photography Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul), Coexistence (Mittelrhein Museum, Koblenz, Germany, 2024), Printed World (Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul, 2022), Conservator C’s Day (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Cheongju, 2020), and Multi Access 4913 (Seoul Museum of Art Seosomun Main Branch, 2019).

He was a residency artist at Seoul Art Space Geumcheon (Seoul, Korea, 2024), Kunstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral (Bad Ems, Germany, 2023), National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Goyang Residency (Goyang, Korea, 2023). He was selected as 'SKOPF Artist of the Year' by KT&G Sangsangmadang (2018) and 'Global Campaigner' by Leica Camera (2020). His photobook 'Tools of Master' was awarded 'The Most Beautiful Book’ in Korea (2022) by the Korean Publishers Association.

His works are included in the collections of major museums and institutions in Korea and abroad, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul Museum of Art, Cheongju Museum of Art, GoEun Museum of Photography, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Photography, and the Iranian Academy of Arts.
